12 of 12 for August

It's that time of month again! On the 12th day of each month (well, almost each month), participants around the world take 12 photos of their day and post them. A bonus 13th is taken and then another bonus is taken of a word (if I understood correctly). This idea came from a friend of the nice people who create The Rosary Army Podcast (which you can find on sqpn.com).

The photo above was taken after my morning workout. On my way to the gym, I realized that I forgot to bring my camera. I was going to take a photo of my gym. Oh well, here's one of my stinky gym stuff. Enjoy!

I made a protein shake-- (green) kiwi, (yellow) kiwi, banana and whey protein. Kiwi and bananas don't really mix as well as, say, raspberry and chocolate!

After lunch, I sat outside in my backyard since it was a BEAUTIFUL day to work on a few things; my father's website, my website and also reading a tutorial on drawing cartoons with the computer (I had recently purchased a Wacom tablet and quickly found that it's A LOT different than what I had expected. Plus, I tried Adobe Illustrator and wanted to throw it out the window after attmepting to tame it for 30 minutes. I really hate that program!).

Later, my niece came over from a birthday party and showed me a tiny, pink, stretchy dinosaur. I wanted to take a photo of it but she insisted it on being on top of her head!

We walked over to a nearby pond to feed the ducks. When this picture was taken, the ducks were very quickly making their way over to us. Then... they didn't eat the bread we gave them! Instead, they were fighting amongst each other! A great metaphore for current events, for sure.

We came home and played dominos.

Oh wait! I forgot to mention that we also saw a yellow canary. Can you see it in this picture?

At night, I went out with a friend who needed to gas up his car. Funny, he never asked why I was taking photos all night.

There was an accident on the side of the highway on our way to downtown Toronto. Of course, everyone was S-L-O-W-I-N-G down to look. I hope the people involved are ok.

We had gone down to a festival called "The Taste of the Danforth". The Danforth area (which is named after a street) in Toronto is the Greek area with a lot of great Greek restaurants. For a weekend every August, they have this street festival where you taste the food from every restaurant. This terrible photo is of a jazz performance that was going on. That large bight blob is not a UFO, but of the jazz singer. She had a great voice!

This fascinating photo was taken while I was walking along the street--PACKED full of people. We were like sardines. There's a UFO in the distance, honest.

They have these lights along the Danforth to denote that you are in fact in the Greek area of Toronto.

A few hours later, I go home for the night.

I didn't take a photo of a word, sorry!
