Information architecture with a Moleskine

It has been a while since I last posted. Has it really been a little over a month?? If there are people reading this, then I apologize. I've been busy with redesigning my online illustration portfolio and really sticking to my gym regimen (meaning: I haven't skipped a day) and trying to have a social life (2 out of 3 ain't bad).

In any case, I've really gotten into information architecture and started reading a book about it from O'Reilly (it's the one with the polar bear). This is the second edition which was released last month and it is updated with web 2.0. They mention Digg and Technorati and all sorts of online goodness. I admit, it's a boring read but the information contained therin is golden.
There's another book I highly recommend but I forget the title and my friend hasn't returned it to me yet.

Studying info-archi has really opened my eyes as to how information is organized. And I've recently got Moleskine crazy again and went looking for Moleskine hacks. In a nutshell, go to wikipedia and do a search on Moleskine. Or better still, click here (that was an example of bad info-archi). Scroll down to the links and presto! Moleskine hacks!

Ok, so what are they? Transforming a Moleskine into an efficient organizer/daily planner-- better than a PDA. You can write down your ideas throughout the day and organize them in a way that they will be realy easy to find later on. THAT is information architecture. REALLY GOOD information architecture.

I am not doing a good job at describing it and motivating you to try it yourself because I am tired from a full day's work and in a while I need to go to my cardio. Anyhoo, I stumbled upon a few websites which made me realize I could use some hacked Moleskines for organizing my ideas for my website, comics and.. coming soon-- Flash cartoons (you heard it here first! If anyone's reading). Also, I plan on using another for my workout journal.

I'll provide more details another day when I have more time and scans to show.
